HYPE AND FAIL
Welcome to Hype and Fail, the website dedicated to the Presidency of Barack Hussein Obama...NOW IN ROUND 2...and the general state of politics in America!
The deficit has just blown through 16 trillion dollars and is still climbing. Spending and energy prices are soaring. Real income and wealth are shrinking.
And, rather than deal with the problem, the Congress has just agreed to play Kick the Can with the debt ceiling one more time...yippee! After all, they get paid regardless, right?
Despite unemployment levels at unconsciously high levels for years, there was precious little mention of 'jobs' in Obama's Second Coronation Speech. No, it's much more important that we continue to focus on 'transforming' the country into...something that many of us wouldn't recognize, even if we did want it (and we don't).
Confidence in government is in the basement. Congress is deadlocked, or worse...giving the President everything he wants, without question. The wars rage on, as do the drone strikes. The country is divided as it hasn't been in decades. What was formerly considered 'crazy' talk of secession is now not only topical, but seriously debated.
President Obama promised to "fundamentally change" the country. The more we see of his 'fundamental change', the less we like it.
We were promised Hope and Change.
What we got was Hype and Fail.
